Ordering

How do I order?

Order online on our order page. Choose your bird and any extras, add your details, and we email you an order number.

What happens when a size sells out?

It shows as sold out on the order page and can no longer be ordered. There is a set number of each size, so it pays to order early.

Which size should I order?

Tell us how many you are feeding and we will help you choose. Call 07970 788247.

What is the difference between a whole bird, a crown and a demi?

A whole bird is the complete Shropshire Bronze. A crown is the whole bird without the legs, with a stock pack (giblets) for the gravy. A demi is half a bird, also with a stock pack. The breast roast is a whole breast with no bone, skin on.

Can I order by phone?

Our turkeys

How are your turkeys reared?

They are slow-growing birds, reared on our farm in Condover for around six months. They roam pasture and woodland by day and sleep in open-sided barns with deep straw. They are dry plucked, then hung for at least 14 days. How we rear them.

Are they organic?

We do not claim organic status. Our birds are fed locally grown cereals and vegetable protein, with no additives, drugs or growth promoters, and they are GM free.

Why does a Shropshire Bronze cook faster?

The birds are mature when they are prepared, and hanging makes the meat tender, so they cook more quickly than you might expect. Every bird comes with cooking instructions and a meat thermometer. Cooking and carving.

Where can I find allergen information?

On every product page, and in our allergens guide.
